Adding Reviews
Coach reviews form the backbone of Your MBA Advisor's platform. They are central to our mission to provide access to unbiased, authentic feedback about top test-prep coaches to MBA aspirants in their application journey.
Every coach listed on the platform can receive reviews from their past students – this includes quantitative rating (out of 5, 5 being highest) and qualitative feedback across three dimensions – overall experience, pedagogy, and value for money.
All reviews are moderated and need to meet the Community Guidelines. Further, users can anonymize reviews to hide their identity publicly, if they wish to.
Assessment Process
How are reviews assessed?
All reviews submitted on the platform undergo multiple checks.
-
One user can submit only one review for one coach.
-
After submission, users receive an email to confirm/validate that they have actually submitted this review. This is implemented to ensure that spam or proxy reviews do not show up on the platform.
-
Alignment with Community Guidelines: All reviews are scrutinised to ensure they meet our community guidelines. Failing to meet them will result in rejection of the submitted review.
Reviews can be submitted with or without supporting evidence that the reviewer actually worked with the coach, and are displayed on the coach’s profile page. However, reviews are approved only if they meet all the above criteria.
Further, users can submit simple documentation to get a "Verified" tag on their review. We define "Verified" reviews as validated reviews from users who have also proven that they worked with the coach they are submitting the review for.
We also combine the ratings to generate an average rating score for the coaches which is shown on the main list of all coaches. However, only "Verified" reviews are counted towards calculating average ratings.
"Verified" Reviews
Authenticated Reviews from users
Having verified reviews gives multiple benefits to the coaches.
-
A "Verified" tag is attached to the review.
-
Acts as a strong signal to aspirants that this is an authentic review, verified independently by Your MBA Advisor.
-
For calculating average ratings, ONLY verified reviews are counted.
To get a "Verified" tag, candidates need to provide some simple documents.
-
Proof of collaboration with the coach. Any document, like an invoice, or an onboarding email, that can prove that the user actually collaborated with the coach they are reviewing.
-
If the candidate has submitted a test score, then a screenshot of their GMAT/GRE test score.
