About Karan

Hi, I am Karan Bagadiya. And my passion, interest, and expertise lies in training people for standardized tests, primarily the GMAT and the GRE. So for the last decade, I’ve guided students through their test preparation journeys, serving as a concept-builder, doubt-solver, and—most importantly—a mentor-coach.

The key aspect of my teaching pedagogy is to hone the reasoning skills of each student - train how to think. A deep focus on training students to reason critically - set up a strong conceptual base first, and then strategize to maximize the score. Through this process, I strive to unearth each student's full potential.

Karan was a patient tutor that did a great job with breaking down GMAT concepts in an easy to understand manner. He helped me raise my score by over a 100 points and get into multiple T15s with significant $$. Additionally, he was accommodative with scheduling sessions given our time differences (PST vs IST)

The biggest takeaway from my time learning with Karan isn’t just the score improvement - it’s the mindset shift. He doesn’t just train you for an exam; he trains you to think better, and that’s a skill that stays with you far beyond test day. His ability to break down complex quantitative concepts into intuitive frameworks made a significant difference in my learning, while his insights into verbal reasoning helped me understand the intent behind test questions

My interaction with Karan was minimal: four months and 20+ classes. But the magnitude of change that this brought into my thought process and business communication is beyond words, to be honest. In the end, competitive exams are more about discipline than skill. They require a structured method of approaching questions and a structured practice as a precursor. This is what I gained from Karan. The direction he imbued in me was the differentiating factor that helped me reach my score. And I am sure it will help me down the line. Moreover, I am thankful for the career perspectives he gave me.

From his analysis of my initial GMAT mocks he asked me to take, he saw exam approaches, which I had followed till there, holding me back. To tackle them, he took a two-pronged method. First, he made me do a timed practice to keep me exam-ready. Then there was an untimed look-back into the problems that required me to muse about the different ways to answer the problem until we both were satisfied with my level of comprehension. This approach prepared me to solve, any variation of any problem.
